There is one theme constant to us and one thing that has gotten us through all of our trials--a foundation and strong faith and belief in God.
We have been up and down in our relationship with God and the times we were distant from Him was when things were at their worst. Not to say only good things happen to those who believe, but faith makes the hard times easier to deal with because we have a protector who gets us through it all. So we encourage you, if you do not have a foundation and are struggling with your faith, to make that the number 1 thing you focus on.

We challenge you to do this for 30 days straight and, once done, see how you feel. Are you feeling less anxious? Do you feel closer to God? Can you tell a difference with your relationships and prayer requests? We think you will because it has worked for us and for so many we know. Start your day--just 15-20 minutes--in prayer, reading devotionals, and talking to Jesus, and you should begin seeing major improvements in your life. Not that all of your problems will go away, but that you will have peace to deal with them knowing you have someone with you to get you through it all.

This is another thing that, if you do it for 30 days, should get some great results. It's hard to do it every day and you might have prayers that do not change much. However, God wants you to come to Him with your needs and the best way is a journal. The great thing about documenting your prayers is you can go back and see where you are today versus where you were the first time you wrote down your needs. No prayer is too small so do not hold back--just ask for what you need help with. God already knows but he wants you to get close to Him and ask for his help and guidance.

For years, we went to churches that were very formal and rigid. We have gone to churches that are ritualistic and have a bunch of rules to follow. However, the only real rules to follow are the ones you find in the Bible. And the only thing you need in your life is a real relationship with Jesus--it is that simple. The best place to learn more about His greatness and to get closer to Him is a life giving church. Luckily for everyone, there are these churches all over the world and ARC is a good place to find one close to you. If you are not in a position to go to one of these churches in person, most are found online and you can watch from your phone anytime you'd like.

You are the sum of the 5 people you hang out with the most, so if you are not hanging out with other Christians or people who have good morals and priorities, chances are you will start to fade in your faith. This is when you are more conflicted and confronted with temptations because it is likely those around you are also doing the same. If you have friends that are Christians, they too are typically focused on good things and will help you do the same. One of the best ways to find Christian friends is in a small group and most life giving churches will connect you to one if you need help. If that is not an option, pray for friends who are Christian. We promise God will provide in a big way and surround you with people who will lift you up and help you out whenever you need them.
